Siglare privacy policy
Updated 30 October 2026.
This policy covers the native Siglare iOS app provided by VISIONLAB-TECHNOLOGIES, MCHJ, Uzbekistan. It also explains support correspondence and visits to this policy or the support website. It does not cover a browser-based document editor.
Version notice: build 4 is being prepared. The build 4 features below apply when that update is installed. The existing 1.0.0 (2) beta does not include Pro, app lock, manual encrypted backup or the new editing tools. Publishing this page does not mean that a new app build is already available.
On-device processing
Siglare processes your chosen PDFs, images, scans, signature drawings, and stamp images on your device. Background removal and signature-line suggestions run locally. In build 4, Vision text recognition for scanned signing lines, text/date/checkmark tools, layouts and page tools also run on the device. Suggestions do not choose a signing party or approve a document. The app does not upload this content to us or a document-processing server.
No app account is required. There is no advertising, tracking, third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK. The app does not send us usage events, an advertising identifier, or document contents. Optional build 4 subscriptions use Apple's StoreKit as explained below.
Local storage and backup
Saved signatures and stamps are stored as processed images with a name, type, and creation date. Saved PDFs have a title, page count, creation and modification dates, and an optional project or folder assignment. Projects and folders store their names, type, and hierarchy. Local preferences record onboarding and app-lock choices. Build 4 also keeps a device-local free-export count and document fingerprints to recognize previously exported originals; these are not sent to us.
Editing drafts store the selected marks' page positions, sizes, and rotations, their modification date, and copies of the signature or stamp images actually used in the draft. Build 4 drafts also keep added text, dates and checkbox states. Reusable layouts keep their arrangement and copies of the included content. These copies let drafts and layouts remain usable after a reusable mark is deleted from My ink. The source PDF and an exported PDF with visible marks are separate local files.
Library files use iOS complete file protection and are marked as excluded from automatic device backups. Siglare has no automatic cloud synchronization or server recovery. Copies you independently store in Photos, Files, iCloud Drive, email, or another service follow that service's settings and practices.
In build 4, One-time signing does not add the document or an editing draft to the library. It still reads and processes the chosen file and creates a protected temporary PDF when you export or share. This is not a promise that no copy exists anywhere. A signature or stamp you separately save to My ink remains there.
Optional app lock, build 4
The included app lock uses the device's Face ID, Touch ID or passcode through Apple's system authentication. Siglare receives an authentication result, not your biometric template or passcode. When the lock is enabled, the app covers its content while inactive and locks after entering the background. This does not control copies already exported to other apps.
Free exports and Pro, build 4
Five distinct signed PDF exports are included free on the device. Re-exporting the same original does not use another free document. Optional Siglare Pro unlocks unlimited signed PDF exports, reusable layouts, advanced PDF page tools and creation of encrypted library backups. Restoring a valid manual backup remains available without Pro; saved files are not erased when Pro ends.
Apple processes the subscription purchase and supplies transaction and entitlement information so the app can determine Pro access. The app does not send documents to Apple as part of that purchase flow. We do not receive your card details through Siglare. Apple's App Store and Apple Account services follow Apple's own privacy practices. Prices and periods are shown by the App Store before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically; manage or cancel them in Apple Account settings.
Manual encrypted backups, build 4
Creating a backup is an explicit Pro action. It includes saved library documents, marks, drafts, projects, folders and layouts, not temporary one-time sessions. Siglare encrypts the backup locally with AES-256-GCM and a password-derived key using PBKDF2-SHA256. You choose the password and where to save or share the encrypted file. The app does not send the file or password to us or run automatic backup uploads.
Keep the password and a separate copy of the backup. We cannot reset that password or recover a lost library from a server. A destination such as Files, iCloud Drive or another chosen service can retain or synchronize the encrypted file under its own settings. Restoring a valid backup merges it into the local library while preserving existing files; it does not require an active Pro subscription.
Permissions and sharing
The camera is used when you choose to scan a document or take a signature or stamp photo on a supported device. Scans and captured photos are processed locally. Camera permission can be changed in iOS Settings.
System Photos and Files pickers provide the content you select. The app does not browse your entire photo library. A provider may download chosen files or photos according to its own settings.
Sharing creates a protected temporary PDF copy for the iOS share sheet. Share original PDF shares the source without the editing draft's added content. Review and Save a copy create a separate PDF containing the reviewed content for sharing. You choose the destination. The selected app or service receives the copy under its own terms and privacy practices. Siglare does not select recipients or send documents automatically. We do not control independent processing by iOS, Apple services, or services you choose.
Retention and deletion
Saved marks, PDFs, projects, folders, editing drafts and layouts remain in the local library until removed. Use the trash button in My ink to delete a reusable signature or stamp. Its image remains in existing PDFs, drafts and layouts that use it. Remove the content from the draft and save, or delete the document; separately delete an unwanted saved layout. Existing manual backup files are separate snapshots and are not rewritten by these deletions.
Use a saved document's three-dot menu and confirm Delete to remove its local PDF and associated draft. Deleting a project or folder moves its documents and child folders up one level without deleting those documents. Delete App in iOS Settings removes the app's local library; offloading keeps data. Export important files or create a manual backup first. Protected temporary PDF copies older than 24 hours are cleaned at the next app launch. Immediate deletion after sharing, or deletion exactly 24 hours later while the app is closed, is not guaranteed. Originals and copies in other apps, services, or recipients' possession are unaffected.
We do not hold your local library and cannot recover or remotely delete it. Manage exported files and manual backup copies in the service where you saved them.
